Spectral Retainers are human ghost found in Karazhan. Killing a Spectral Retainer results in 15 reputation with The Violet Eye.
Abilities
- Karazhan
Oath of Fealty — Takes control of a humanoid enemy up to level 75 for 15 sec.
Rend — Inflicts Physical damage to an enemy every 3 sec. for 15 sec.

- Oath of Fealty — Takes control of a humanoid enemy up to level 1000 for 10 sec.
Shadow Bolt Volley — Inflicts 96129 Shadow damage to enemies within 50 yards.
Strategy
These mobs come in packs with Phantom Attendants and are immune to shackle, so it is best they are killed first. It is suggested you sheep the MC'd player.
It is possible (and advisable) to completely avoid them on your route through Karazhan.
