Small Thorium Veins can be found primarily in zones that were in the 50–60 level range prior to the application of zone scaling in patch 7.3.5.

With Mining (1) in retail or Mining (245) in Classic, these veins can be looted for:
[Thorium Ore] (guaranteed if Mining is 200 or higher)
[Thorium Ore Nugget] (if Mining is 199 or lower; retail only)
[Dense Stone] (guaranteed / uncommon)
[Arcane Crystal] (very uncommon / none)
[Azerothian Diamond] (rare / very rare)
[Black Vitriol] (rare / very rare)
[Blue Sapphire] (rare / very rare)
[Huge Emerald] (rare / very rare)
[Large Opal] (rare / very rare)
[Star Ruby] (rare / very rare)
Items with multiple listed rarities signify a difference between retail and Classic. (retail rarity / Classic rarity).
Quest items
Small Thorium Veins in Felwood can also contain 
[Tainted Vitriol] if the player has a 
[Cenarion Beacon] in their inventory.

Notes
- Small Thorium Veins in the Garrison Armory mine in Blasted Lands can only be mined by Horde players.
