Slow Fall

In World of Warcraft, Slow Fall is an effect that, when applied to a player, slows down their falling speed.

Slow Fall allows players to avoid fall damage. It also retains their horizontal speed, which enables players to cover larger distances when jumping or falling.

Abilities

• The Mage ability [Slow Fall] grants Slow Fall for 30 seconds. This can be used on other players.
• The Priest ability [Levitate] applies a buff that, among other benefits, grants Slow Fall for 10 minutes. The effect is canceled when mounting or taking damage. This can be used on other players.
• The Demon hunter ability [Glide] grants Slow Fall. The ability has an initial thrust and allows directional control while falling.
• The Druid ability [Flap], which can be learned with  [Tome of the Wilds: Flap], grants Slow Fall for 15 seconds. Requires [Moonkin Form].
• The Hunter pet ability [Updraft], used by Feathermane and Pterrordax pets, grants both the pet and the Hunter Slow fall for 30 seconds.

Racials

• The Dracthyr racial [Glide] grants Slow Fall. The ability has an initial thrust and allows directional control while falling.
• The Zandalari troll racial [Pterrordax Swoop] grants the user Slow Fall for 2 minutes with a 15 minutes cooldown. The ability has an initial thrust and allows directional control while falling.

Consumables

•  [Wings of the Outcasts] grants the user Slow Fall for 2 minutes with a 3 minutes cooldown.
•  [Windfall Totem] creates a totem that grants Slow Fall to nearby allies. Only usable in Highmountain.

Gliders

•  [Goblin Glider Kit] grants the user Slow Fall for 2 minutes with a 3 minutes cooldown. Has an initial thrust and allows directional control while falling.
•  [Alliance Glider Kit] grants the user Slow Fall for 2 minutes with a 3 minutes cooldown. Has an initial thrust and allows directional control while falling.
•  [Horde Glider Kit] grants the user Slow Fall for 2 minutes with a 3 minutes cooldown. Has an initial thrust and allows directional control while falling.
•  [Golden Glider] grants the user Slow Fall for 2 minutes with a 3 minutes cooldown. Has an initial thrust and allows directional control while falling. Only usable on Timeless Isle.

Parachutes

•  [S.A.F.E. "Parachute"] grants the user Slow Fall for 10 seconds.
•  [Colossal Parachute] grants the user Slow Fall for 10 seconds. This item is destroyed if not consumed within 20 minutes of purchase.
•  [Flesh Parachute] grants the user Slow Fall for 30 seconds. Can only be used in War Mode on the Dragon Isles.

Potions and drinks

•  [Potion of Slow Fall] grants Slow Fall for 30 seconds with a 1 minute cooldown.
•  [Snowfall Lager] grants Slow Fall for 30 seconds with a 2 minutes cooldown. Only usable in Storm Peaks.
•  [Potion of Light Steps] grants Slow Fall during the Troves of the Thunder King scenario. Has a 10 seconds cooldown, effect breaks upon taking damage.
•  [Sea Mist Potion] turns the user into a cloud and grants Slow Fall for 1 minute with a 1 minute cooldown.
•  [Noggenfogger Elixir] has a chance to provide a 15 second slow fall buff.

Equipment

•  [Parachute Cloak] grants Slow Fall for 10 seconds with a 30 seconds cooldown. Requires Engineering (225) to use.
•  [Evonice's Landin' Pilla] grants Slow Fall for 10 seconds with a 30 minutes cooldown.
•  [Olaf's All Purpose Shield] grants Slow Fall for 10 seconds with a 1 hour cooldown.
•  [Skyguard's Drape] grants Slow Fall for 10 seconds with a 30 minutes cooldown.
•  [Skywitch's Drape] grants Slow Fall for 10 seconds with a 30 minutes cooldown.
•  [Golad, Twilight of Aspects] and  [Tiriosh, Nightmare of Ages] grant Slow Fall for 15 seconds with a 5 minute cooldown. The items share the cooldown with each other.
•  [Humming Black Dragonscale] grants Slow Fall for 15 seconds with a 2 minutes cooldown.

Enchantments

•  [Flexweave Underlay] is an Engineering cloak enchant that grants the ability to use a Slow Fall parachute for 30 seconds with a 1 minute cooldown.
•  [Goblin Glider] is an Engineering cloak enchant that grants the ability to use a Slow Fall glider for 2 minutes with a 3 minutes cooldown. Has an initial thrust and allows directional control while falling.

Toys

•  [Whispers of Rai'Vosh] grants Slow Fall for 10 seconds with a 1 hour cooldown.
•  [Rocfeather Skyhorn Kite] grants the user Slow Fall for 1 minute with a 15 minutes cooldown. Only usable in Broken Isles.
  •  [Derelict Skyhorn Kite] grants the user Slow Fall for 15 seconds with a 15 minute cooldown. Only usable in Broken Isles.
