Silk

Silk is a type of fiber used in making textiles, and generally produced by spiders and moth larvae. The Mok'nathal of the Blade's Edge Mountains harvest silk from the cocoons of wild moth larvae. The silk farms of Pandaria, such as the ancient and respected Silken Fields, raise their own silkworms for silk production.

High-ranking members of the Defias Brotherhood wear silk bandanas to signify their rank; other members' bandanas are made from materials like linen instead.

In the Shadowlands, the night fae of Ardenweald gather silk from silkstriders. Their main production hub is the Gossamer Cliffs.
