Shard of Domination

The Shards of Domination are the shattered pieces of the Helm of Domination. The one to shatter the helm was Sylvanas Windrunner. They are located atop Icecrown Citadel, and one shard was taken to the Shadowlands during the war against the Jailer.[1]
Within the Maw, the shard taken to the Shadowlands was used to gain information from shades, but the effort was mostly useless as the shadows didn't survive.[2] Afterward, there was an attempt on stronger being, Tormented Amalgamation which the adventurer could control longer and brought it back to the cave.[3] Darion Mograine interrogated the amalgamation after Anduin Wrynn was freed. During the interrogation, the Amalgamation gave information about the Waystone to Oribos and then died.[4]
When the Maw Walker reached Oribos, they placed the shard on a map within the Enclave which created a tether between the realms of Death and Azeroth,[5] which let Bolvar Fordragon the ability to come to Oribos.
