  • Lightning Bolt and Chain Lightning have a 50% chance to add an additional charge to your active Lightning Shield, up to a maximum of 9 Charges.

    Earth Shock now releases all Lightning Shield charges above 3, dealing their damage to the target, and energizing you for 2% of your maximum mana per charge released.

Rolling Thunder is a Shaman rune for bracers. It is learned from  [Rune of Rolling Thunder].

Patch changes

  • World of Warcraft: Classic Hotfix (2024-07-16): Shamans will no longer gain charges of [Lightning Shield] from Rolling Thunder when the rune is not equipped.
  • World of Warcraft: Classic Hotfix (2024-07-10): Fixed an issue with the Rolling Thunder rune where it only worked if you also had the [Shield Mastery] rune equipped. That requirement was accidental and is now removed.
  • World of Warcraft: Classic Hotfix (2024-05-01): Now has a 50% chance to trigger (was 30%).
  • World of Warcraft: Classic Hotfix (2024-04-29): Can now trigger from [Overload] versions of Lightning Bolt and [Chain Lightning].
  • World of Warcraft: Classic Hotfix (2024-04-11): Now correctly restores 2% of the Shaman's total mana per Lightning Shield charge released.
  • World of Warcraft: Classic Patch 1.15.2 (2024-04-02): Added.
