Notes
- This trinket works on flying as well as land-based mounts
- It gives approximately 1% more mounted speed than the
[Riding Skill]/
[Mithril Spurs]/
[Carrot on a Stick] combo. - This trinket does NOT stack with other mount-speed increasing items such as [Carrot on a Stick] or spells such as
[Crusader Aura]. - This trinket does NOT work with any druid flight form.
- This and similar trinkets are often used with Wardrobe addons for quick equipping when mounting.
Trivia
- During the
The Burning Crusade beta tests, the trinket had an on-use effect to increase mounted speed by 25% for 10 seconds.[1] - The Riding Crop was temporarily available as an artifact in Heroes of the Storm.
- A riding crop enchantment briefly existed during the Wrath of the Lich King beta but was eventually scrapped.

Patch 3.0.2 (2008-10-14): No longer works on players level 70 and above. - Patch 2.0.1 (2006-12-05): Added.
