Notes

  • The duration of the effect is 5 minutes. It persists through combat.
  • It can copy shapeshifted forms (e.g. transform a non-druid into a stag or bird), but the effect does not override actual shapeshifted forms, meaning that a shapeshifted player will still be displayed in shapeshift form until they leave it, in which case they will be shown with the swapped appearance. Furthermore, the effect is entirely cosmetic; copying a druid's [Flight Form] will not allow a non-druid to fly, nor will copying [Travel Form] increase speed.
  • If the other player is under the effect of a previous use of a Reflecting Prism, the item will swap with their current appearance rather than their real one. The item can thus be used to work around long cooldowns on cosmetic transformation items, such as  [Orb of the Sin'dorei] and  [Gamon's Braid], by swapping appearances twice with another player every 5 minutes.
  • This item cannot be used to copy a worgen's human form on a non-worgen. The worgen form is copied instead. If two worgen swap appearances, [Two Forms] allows each player to switch between the other player's human and worgen forms, but swapped human forms are currently subject to texture bugs.

Patches and hotfix

  • Warlords of Draenor Hotfix (2015-03-04): Fixed a graphical issue that could occur by using Reflecting Prism on a character that's transformed and riding a mount.
  • Warlords of Draenor Patch 6.0.2 (2014-10-14): Added.
