History

World of Warcraft

WoW Icon update.png This section concerns content related to the original World of Warcraft.

He was an ex-member of the Scarlet Crusade, which he left after witnessing innocent people being tortured simply because they were not members. Apparently, Scarlet Crusader Emissary Brother Anton in Desolace believed that Raleigh was still loyal to the cause, and directed loyal Alliance members to him for further service to the Crusade after they proved themselves in combat against Desolace's undead.[1]

After informing the sent Alliance adventurers of the true nature of the Crusade, Raleigh set his plan into motion: the assassination of several key figures in the Scarlet Monastery, including Houndmaster Loksey, Herod, High Inquisitor Whitemane, and Scarlet Commander Mograine.[2]

Raleigh the True, seven years before World of Warcraft.

In the Old Hillsbrad Foothills instance of the Caverns of Time, he could be found in the Town Hall in Southshore under the name Raleigh the True, and was seen conversing with Nathanos Marris.

Battle for Azeroth

By the time of the Fourth War, Raleigh had survived the destruction of Southshore and returned to clear it of the blight with a cadre of paladins. The Horde tried to enrage the blight creatures to disrupt their efforts.[3] It appears the Horde's efforts were unsuccessful, as Mathias Shaw noted, when traversing the continent in search of artifacts, that the ruins were claimed by the Alliance and were undergoing rebuilding.[4]
