Rake is a druid talent. It is a basic direct damage melee attack with a damage over time component. It is an effective damage technique against high armor enemies (Mail and Plate wearers), as well as preventing rogues from using [Vanish]. It is automatically learned for Feral druids.

- Deals 20% less damage in PvP combat.

- Hotfix (2018-05-01): Rake deals an additional 25% damage while stealthed in PvP situations (was 50%).
- Hotfix (2016-11-14): (Feral) Rake now deals 20% less damage to players.
- Patch 7.1.0 (2016-10-25):
- Now available at level 12 (was 6).
- Rank 2 moved to Rank 3 at level 54. New Rank 2 added at level 25: While stealthed, Rake will also stun the target for 4 sec and deal 60% increased damage.
- Patch 7.0.3 (2016-07-19):
- Now deals 100% more damage when used from [Prowl]. Damage increased by 76.5%.
- Rank 2 added at level 42: Reduces the target's movement speed by 50% for 12 sec.
- Patch 6.2.2 (2015-09-01): Now deals 20% more damage. In PvP combat, now deals 20% less damage.
- Patch 6.2.0 (2015-06-23): Now deals 10% more damage.
- Hotfix (2014-10-21): Rake should no longer incorrectly stun the target if the attack misses while the Druid is stealthed.

- Damage increased by 12%.
- Rake's Bleed effect should now always be applied to the target if the initial hit lands.
- Patch 6.0.2 (2014-10-14): Now also stuns the target for 4 seconds if used while stealthed, and is only available to Feral druids.
- Patch 5.0.4 (2012-08-28): Bleed duration increased from 9 to 15 sec.
- Patch 4.2.0 (2011-06-28): Initial damage on hit now deals the same damage as each periodic tick (and is treated the same for all combat calculations). Periodic damage now gains 14.7% of attack power per tick, up from 12.6%, and base damage per tick has been lowered from 557 to 56. There is a known issue with Rake's tooltip being incorrect from this change will be corrected in a future patch.
- Patch 4.0.6 (2011-02-08): Now scales from 2.07% of Attack Power, down from 2.3%. Additional bleed damage now scales from 37.8% of Attack Power, down from 42%, base damage reduced by 10%, from 1859 to 1672.
- Hotfix (2010-12-15): Rake will no longer receive twice the benefit from the Feral druid Mastery Razor Claws.
- Hotfix (2010-12-02): Rake is now dealing the same damage outside of [Cat Form] when the druid has the Razor Claws mastery. Rake damage also stays consistent when modified by [Mangle (Cat)] as a druid shifts out of Cat Form.
- Patch 3.2.0 (2009-08-04): Ranks 6 and 7 base points on initial and periodic damage reduced by about 7%. Scaling from attack power unchanged.
- Patch 3.0.2 (2008-10-14): The damage for this ability has been increased.

- Patch 1.7.0 (2005-09-13): Damage has been increased.
- Patch 0.7 (2004-06-15): Damage increased. Energy cost reduced if Rake fails.
