Proto-Striders are creations of 
Bingles Blastenheimer who rebelled with jealousy when he was working on his new invention, the Skystrider. They are encountered in Ironwing Cavern while on [5-30] Bird is the Word.
Abilities
Proto Beam — Inflicts Fire damage each second upon an enemy, for 3 sec.
Thrusters — Powerful thrusters increase movement speed by 120% for 3 sec.
