The "Ranger-General" in question may be Sylvanas Windrunner, who was the Ranger-General of Silvermoon when the Scourge attacked Silvermoon City to get to the Sunwell. The skull's owner is unknown. In the present day, Sylvanas uses a sword in melee combat.
