The North Sea Kraken is a kraken attacking both The Firehawk and The Wavecrest near the middle of the Sea Reaver's Run, south of Hrothgar's Landing.

During the war against the Lich King, the ships of the Sunreavers and the Silver Covenant fought the kvaldir back from Icecrown's main shore, and had to slay the kraken their deepcallers kept summoning,^[1] with the help of adventurers.^[2]

Abilities

Frost Breath — Inflicts 0 Frost damage to enemies in a 70 yard cone in front of the caster. In addition, the targets are frozen for 2 sec.

The kraken is the objective of the Crusader-level daily quest [25-30 Daily] Get Kraken! Players are tasked to use [Flaming Spears] to drive it away and kill the Kvaldir Deepcallers who summoned it from the depths of the North Sea.
If a group (usually of 3 or more players) manages to kill the Kraken while flying overhead on the [25-30 Daily] Get Kraken! quest, a [Kraken Tooth] will appear in their inventory, providing them an extra daily to turn in called [25-30 Daily] Identifying the Remains. Note: One must have this quest in their log to receive the tooth, any attempts at killing the Kraken without the quest on foot give no reward.

The North Sea Kraken appears as a common card in the Grand Tournament expansion of Hearthstone. The card uses Kolorath's TCG artwork.^[3] The flavor text reads: "You have no idea how tired this guy is of being released."
