The Moat Monster is a creature that lives in a slime moat in the Ruins of Lordaeron above the Undercity. The Forsaken regularly feed it, and use feeding days to train it to attack Alliance members.[1] Eunice Burch implies that the Forsaken intended the monster to replace the Kor'kron overseers in guarding the Undercity.[2]
In order to produce food for the Moat Monster, the Forsaken first fatten up flies with dead meat from meat wagons. They then feed the flies to their spiders, which they then feed to frogs, which they finally feed to the monster.[1][2]
It's unknown exactly what the monster is, since it only reveals a single green tentacle when fed.
