This article contains lore taken from Warcraft novels, novellas, or short stories.

A former Neferset, Menrim was one of the few opposed to siding with Deathwing in order to reverse the curse of flesh. Unfortunately, his brother who he cared for dearly, Bathet, was extremely supportive of siding with Deathwing, becoming one of the staunchest supporters. Bathet is later taken prisoner by the Ramkahen and set for execution.

When Menrim had come of age, he went to work with the priests to maintain the titan installations, spending all of his time away and barely saw the younger Bathet. Bathet came to resent Menrim for this, feeling that he had been abandoned by his own brother. When Deathwing's offer came along, the angry Bathet felt that if he joined, he would have a place to belong to.

Menrim, wanting to save his brother, repeatedly pleads with the Ramkahen council for mercy on his brother. On the way home after yet another failure to convince them, he meets Li Li and Chen and invites them to stay for the night. After hearing Menrim's story, Chen tries to amend the situation, and tells Menrim to apologize to his brother, believing that Bathet's resolve stemmed solely from hate towards his brother for abandoning him, rather than power or riches. However, it fails and Bathet is eventually executed, as Menrim was unable to accept that he was wrong and, instead of apologizing, berated his brother when Bathet had responded belligerently.

After the execution, Menrim is regretful that he was unable to compromise his pride to apologise and possibly avert Bathet's eventual death. Grateful for Chen's attempts to help, he gives them the key to his family boat to help them in their journey and wished them luck.[1]
