Bathet was among a number of the Neferset who joined the vast majority of his people in siding with Deathwing in order to reverse the curse of flesh. Though after learning about Bathet from Menrim, Li Li Stormstout theorizes that Bathet was less for Deathwing and was just trying to look for a place to belong too. Regardless Bathet became one of the Neferset taken prisoner following the Ramkahen victory in the war and is stated for execution.

After hearing about Bathet from Menrim, Chen decides to visit Bathet in order to understand his reasoning for joining Deathwing, but is disheartened when he learns nothing. After hearing Li Li's theory Chen suggests that Menrim apologize to Bathet believing that Bathet's resolve stemmed solely from hate towards his brother for abandoning him, rather than power or riches. However, it fails and Bathet is eventually executed, as Menrim was unable to accept that he was wrong and, instead of apologizing, berated his brother.
