Magma snails or lava snails are snail-like fire elementals[1][2] found in volcanic areas. They are mainly located in the Waking Shores in the Dragon Isles and the Ringing Deeps in Khaz Algar. They are similar to magma slugs and are made entirely of elemental lava.[2] In combat, they fight by throwing lava volleys at their enemies,[3] also their molten slime can slow their opponents and deal fire damage to them.[4]

As a mount
[Gooey Snailemental] is created by combining 50 pieces of 
[Leftover Elemental Slime], which drop from Froststone Vault Primal Storm bosses in the Forbidden Reach.
[Magmashell] is earned by looting an 
[Empty Magma Shell] from magma snails or slugs in the Waking Shores, then using it on an Empowered Snail at Scalecracker Keep.
[Scrappy Worldsnail] is purchased for 1,000 
[Magmotes] from Dealer Vexil at the Smoldering Perch after completing 
[10-70] The Shadow of His Wings.
[Shellack] is an achievement reward from 
[Glory of the Dragonflight Hero].
As a companion pet
- Magmashell Crawler can be captured in Dornogal and the Ringing Deeps.
As a hunter pet
Magma snails are tameable as part of the carapid family.

Notes
- There are also "Water Snails" that use the same model. The water snails and lava snails can be seen battling each other.
- Their model number is 12749, which they share with magma slugs.
