Kaz is a dwarven weaponsmith, working in the Royal Armory. He has a wife and two small children.

Kaz was caught among the thousands of refugees seeking entry to Stormwind City as the Horde's attacks began to escalate. Despite his vital work making weapons for the soldiers, Kaz was held back from entry into the city, along with his family. As the human guards and crowd became increasingly hostile to the dwarves, Kaz took up a hammer, but was interrupted by Karos, returning from the Black Morass, who instructed the guards to let the dwarf through, and admonished the crowd for their attitude.

Kaz would later deliver a shipment of boomsticks to the Stormwind armory, a gift of King Magni Bronzebeard.

• Kaz is exclusive to Warcraft: The Official Movie Novelization, appearing in a scene that is not shown in the film.
