  • Joyous Journeys
  • Experience gains increased by 50%.

Joyous Journeys was a server-wide buff added to Burning Crusade Classic realms a few weeks before the 3.4.0 pre-patch began. It persisted until Wrath Classic fully launched[1] on 26 September 2022.[2]

This buff increased experience gains from all sources and was intended as both a celebration of Kil'jaeden's defeat in BC Classic and a way to help players prepare for Wrath Classic.[1]

It was brought back once again for Wrath of the Lich King Classic from 13 December 2022 to 16 January 2023[3] and from 23 May to 19 June 2023,[4] and once again on 5 September 2023 but with no indication of an ending date.[5]

Disabling

The buff could be turned off and on by speaking with innkeepers:

  • Gossip I would like to disable Joyous Journeys.
Changes the numerical value in description of the buff to "0%."
  • Gossip I would like to enable Joyous Journeys.
Changes the value back to "50%."

Patch changes

  • Bc icon.gif Hotfix (2022-07-25): Added.
