Jimmy Lo

Jimmy Lo is senior concept artist (or "Concept Wizard"[1]) for World of Warcraft, primarily illustrating scenery such as dungeons and towns (concept art).[2] He has also made artwork for a few TCG cards.[3]

Work

Being an employee since 2004, Lo didn't have time to participate in the creation of the vanilla World of Warcraft (pre-TBC). He has however contributed to its expansions, bringing ideas to the architecture of races such as the blood elves, taunka, nerubians, the inhabitants of Gilneas, and many others. His works can be found in the books The Art of World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade and The Art of World of Warcraft: Cataclysm.[4]

Lo was responsible for the Alliance Lumber Mill Garrison feature concept,[1] and contributed to the Artcraft—Building a Garrison Warlords of Draenor preview blog. He also made the concept art for the Spires of Arak zone.[5] He made the concept art for the Argus texture appearing in the sky during Kil'jaeden's encounter as well as after his defeat in the sky of Azeroth.[6]
