Jasperlode Mine
Jasperlode Mine, like Fargodeep Mine, was one of the key mining sites in Elwynn Forest, providing Stormwind City with valuable raw materials needed in the wars. Lately, however, the mine has been overrun by kobolds, and with all the challenges that its army has to face, Stormwind does not have the manpower to drive the vermin out.[1]
Unfortunately for the kobolds of Elwynn Forest, the deepest recesses of this mine have been overrun by a colony of Mine Spiders who apparently see the hapless kobolds as a tasty snack. Although these spiders do not venture far from their nest, adventurers should beware as their queen, Mother Fang, does not approve of any uninvited guests.
Marshal Dughan had a nightmare about being in the mine while on a mission to clear it of kobolds. He had over 10 men and Zaldimar Wefhellt with him, but he failed his mission and was overrun by the kobolds.[2]

In the RPG
Gold mines once held by the orcs to fuel their war efforts, the Jasperlode and Fargo mines were retaken by the Alliance after the First War.[3]
