This article contains lore taken from Warcraft novels, novellas, or short stories.

Jago was one of the human attendants at the Gathering in the Arathi Highlands. During the event, he reunited with the now-Forsaken Wilmer, whom he called "my Wilmer [...] the best man I ever knew and loved". Their reunion ended in tragedy when Wilmer and the other members of the Desolate Council were killed on the orders of Sylvanas Windrunner. Jago was left devastated by the event.

By the end of the Fourth War, he was drunk, homeless, penniless, and taking shelter in a barn belonging to a farmer and his son near Saldean's Farm in Westfall. Without the farmers' permission, he used the barn to brew moonshine, eventually causing an explosion that destroyed the building's roof. King Anduin Wrynn and Mathias Shaw, who happened to be riding nearby, heard the explosion and interrupted the subsequent argument between Jago and the farmers. Upon seeing Anduin, Jago tried to attack the young king, blaming him for not stopping Sylvanas at the Gathering. Jago was intercepted by Mathias and passed out soon after.[1]
