Affects [Slam]

Improved Slam is a talent in the Warrior's Fury tree.

Notes

Improved Slam is vital for any Arms warrior wishing to add [Slam] to their rotation. As well as increasing Slam's damage, it reduces Slam's cast time to 0.5 seconds (improved even further with haste). However, despite this lower cast time, Slam will still trigger a full global cooldown. The main advantage of the reduction lies in Slam's interaction with the melee swing timer. Slam's cast time (though not the global cooldown triggered by it) suspends the swing timer for the player's auto-attacks. Without points in this talent, warriors chain-casting Slam will not deal any auto-attacks, reducing their base DPS by 100%. With 2 points in this talent, the warrior's white damage is only reduced by 33% during periods of Slam usage, further increasing DPS for these periods, and maintaining rage generation and procs from [Blood Frenzy] and the Arms mastery [Strikes of Opportunity].

Although still useful, warriors not using [Slam] frequently (such as those focusing on a [Heroic Strike]/ [Incite] rotation) will find more benefit spending their talent points elsewhere.
