Imperial hall
- Not to be confused with imperial chamber.
The imperial hall of Capital City was a place in times past where the most significant treaties in all of Lordaeron had been agreed to and signed. With its rich history and ancient but stately decor, the hall cast an aura of tremendous significance upon any discussion taking place there.[1] An elaborately decorated ivory table stands in the center of the room. Terenas Menethil's grandfather had received it as a gift from his northern vassals after his successful negotiations with the elves of Quel'Thalas over the borders there. From the windows in the hall, one can see the city. Terenas enjoyed this view, because from it he could see the health of his people.[2]
It is here that King Terenas II of Lordaeron — with an idea secretly formed by Prestor that Terenas thought he had come up with on his own — convinced the rest of the Alliance of Lordaeron into making Lord Prestor the new future king of the kingdom of Alterac, even without input from the Kirin Tor.[3] Krasus sarcastically dubbed him "King Prestor the First."[4]
