Mentions

  • Ar'tor, Son of Oronok believed that he would ascend to a "great hunting ground" after death. However, his soul instead remained trapped in Illidari Point until he could complete his task of retrieving the Second Fragment of the Cipher of Damnation.[2] After adventurers helped him do so, Ar'tor's soul began disappearing and asked the adventurers to deliver a message to his father: "Tell him that I see the hunting grounds and they are glorious. Tell him that I wait for him there..."[1]
  • Lead narrative designer Steve Danuser has suggested that "If everything went great for [Durotan], he's probably in this endless hunting ground where he has his wolves around him and he [...] doesn't have to worry about any dark forces wrecking his world. He can just enjoy that forever… And you know what, maybe Draka can someday fulfill her obligations and join him there. Who knows? We'll see…"[3]
  • As part of a bargain, the death loa Bwonsamdi showed Zekhan a false[4][5] vision of Varok Saurfang reunited with his wife and son in a blissful afterlife resembling the grassy, broken plains of Draenor where father and son could hunt talbuk together.[6]
