Huelo is a wolf and one of Rexxar's many animal companions. At some point in the past, Huelo found the wounded Rexxar in Winterspring and saved him from attacking beasts, after which the wolf became his companion.[2]
During the Fourth War, Huelo was impaled by a spear during a Kul Tiran attack on Seawatch Point in Stormsong Valley. The adventurer finds him laying on the ground, and Huelo is killed by Rexxar as an act of mercy due to the severity of the wound.
After the war, Rexxar and Zekhan went on a mission to explore the state of Kalimdor. The mok'nathal hunter had also his own task - find out where to bury Huelo. Some of the individuals they met during their journey offered words of advice, so Rexxar decided to return to the place of their first encounter.[2]
Notes and trivia
- Though not a listed objective of
[35-60] On the Hunt, the player must interact with Huelo by removing the spear in his side in order to advance the quest. - Huelo is the second of Rexxar's wolf companions to die, the first being Haratha.
- In Exploring Azeroth, Rexxar also mentions that before he found Huelo, he was alone in Kalimdor,[2] probably implying that Huelo was his first companion, preceding even Misha.
- Huelo means "I smell" in Spanish.
