Hot air balloons are balloons attached to baskets and used as transportation through the air. These are mostly used by goblins and pandaren, having two different models by race. The goblin version has attached rockets for controlling where they go, rather than letting the wind.

Pandaren hot air balloons
- Shang Xi's Hot Air Balloon, used for communicating with Shen-zin Su, the Wandering Isle
- Whispercloud's Balloon, connecting Whispercloud Rise to Zouchin Province in Kun-Lai Summit
- The Killem' Jaro at Nesingwary's Safari in the Valley of the Four Winds.
