Gurlak was a proud loyal orc warrior of the Frostwolf clan, who greatly respected Durotan. When Nokrar abandoned the Frostwolves in an attempt to join the Horde, Gurlak would join Durotan's party in hunting them down and along with the others would be horrified to discover Nokrar dead and eaten. Unwilling to let Nokrar's children suffer the same fate the Frostwolves would find and attack the nearby Redwalkers and Gurlak would die in the fighting. Durotan would note that Gurlak, who loved to sing lok'vadnods, would have been pleased that he had earned one.
