- Nighthowls do enough damage to one-shot level 100 characters. In addition, without movement impeding abilities, they move fast enough to outrun characters.
- Nighthowls prove to be impediments to players practicing Archaeology since a pack is sitting on one of the archaeology sights.
- There is no loot of value that drops from Nighthowls and their sheer power make most players give them a wide berth. However, their pack leader Nok-Karosh drops the mount
[Garn Nighthowl].
