The subject of this article or section is part of Darkmoon Faire, an ongoing event that lasts one week. Once the event has run its course, this will no longer be available until next month.

Franklin Jenner is a deceased human on Darkmoon Island. His ghost is located just to the west of the Faire and is only visible while dead. He is one of several ghosts on the island.

According to Franklin, he was a veteran of the ongoing conflict between the Alliance and Horde. He claims that many have died by his hands and he wanted to leave the horrors of war behind him. He sought out the Darkmoon Faire for this purpose and was promised he'd never have to encounter the horrors he witnessed when serving under the Alliance banner. Unfortunately, Franklin's life was brought to an end at the Faire. The cause of his death remains unknown.

Speculation

This article or section includes speculation, observations or opinions possibly supported by lore or by Blizzard officials. It should not be taken as representing official lore.

It could be worth speculating that Franklin died at the hands of Rona Greenteeth, who happens to sell various foods that originate from her victims of various races. This is slightly reinforced by the fact that she sells meat with reference to humans as being part of the recipe.

If Rona did not kill him, it is possible Franklin died at the hands of a member of the Horde. His ghost wanders just on the other side of the Faire's Exposition Pavilion, out of sight of other attendees of the Faire. His experience on the battlefield might have brought some of his past to the Faire that led to his death.

If neither are true, then it's most likely that Franklin died to the beasts of the forest or some other means.
