heya! was looking at the Beast companions page and i feel like... these pages are kind of overloaded with various info. lot of images and a lot of text all crammed together. it makes them hard to browse/skim, which imo hampers their usefulness.

how would you guys feel about 1. removing the pet journal text, 2. removing the "can battle" icon, and 3. moving the expac icons to the leftmost column?

the journal text seems like a lot of effort to upkeep and doesn't feel like it belongs in a list-style article. the "can battle" icon ranges from "completely useless" on some pages to "mostly useless" on others. since the vast majority of companions can battle, i feel like it'd lighten the visual load to only tag companions that can't battle & leave it blank for the ones that can. and then i think the expac icons add a lot of visual clutter when they're in the middle. harder to mentally filter them out when you're not currently in need of them.

(not totally sure how i feel about the trade/no trade icons. they seem... pretty evenly split, so it might be weird to remove one of them? i dunno)

Sounds good I'd say. The trade/no trade icons are probably fine as is. If we do go with removing one, it'd be better to mark the non-tradeable ones as I believe readers will assume they can be traded if not indicated even tho there are more companions that can't be traded versus the amount of companions that can be. Non-tradable companions are typically from 99% of all wild pet captures (which is already ALOT), some vendor pets, achievements, promotions (not TCG tho), and the Battle.net shop (excluding one).

I'd also argue that the quality section isn't needed. The name could easily use the {{Quality|<quality>|<pet name>}} template or pets from items can be linked directly and in some cases, use {{Item}} to display the pet's name instead of the item's name but still show the tooltip like:  [Blinky] — SurafbrovWarcraft Wiki administrator T / C 06:53, 7 September 2022 (UTC)

ahh that sounds like a good idea, showing quality on the names instead of in a separate column.
