Hello. Yesterday the website seemed to have big problems, I couldn't even edit pages or anything. Today I can edit pages, but it seems these modifications are ... weirdly-handled. For example I edited Warmage Adami to add the Warmage category to her, and yet she doesn't show up in that very same category. Anyone experiencing similar problems? I've had other issues. I can only create new pages through the Create page page and red links, not via the search bar. PeterWind (talk) 16:21, 7 September 2016 (UTC)
Is it safe to keep working in these conditions? Even if saving a page seems to go well, it seems the website has troubles doing all the extra work involved when doing this, like adding the page to the relevant categories, and so on. Maybe something done while the site is bugging will never be truly correctly linked... Xporc (talk) 18:19, 7 September 2016 (UTC)
I've raised the issue with the server team and pointed them here. They upgraded MediaWiki yesterday and things still may be a bit touch and go.
If you run into other issues, please post them here or send an email to [email protected]. I'm going to be in Japan for the next couple weeks, so my access to the internet and the wiki will be spotty. --k_d3 19:02, 7 September 2016 (UTC)
Update: I'm told that Categories is a known issue, along with search. Those are the team's current primary focus. --k_d3 19:06, 7 September 2016 (UTC)
Thanks! Have a nice trip, I can't wait to be able to visit Japan myself. Xporc (talk) 19:06, 7 September 2016 (UTC)
Alright sounds good! I did see the gamepedia bar sporting various number of beta versions yesterday aswell. Have a nice trip! PeterWind (talk) 20:37, 7 September 2016 (UTC)
So, the categories still are not fixed it seems. Also, somehow, this very topic is not appearing in the Village Pump for me, the only way for me to read it is to manually enter its url. I'm gonna send an email when I'm back home Xporc (talk) 13:57, 8 September 2016 (UTC)
I tried re-editing one of the NPCs I edited the other day (Warmage Watkins) and now she correctly appears in the relevant Warmages category, unlike the other NPCs I changed that day. I reeaaally hope I won't have to find back and edit again all the pages I changed that day ... Xporc (talk) 18:54, 8 September 2016 (UTC)

There's a mobile-specific layout problem that prevents switching back to Mobile View from Desktop View: Forum:Problems with viewing on Mobile‎ -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 18:18, 8 September 2016 (UTC)

Centralized issue reporting and known issues

(Hi from Japan!)

Hey all, the dev team finally put together a way to report issues with the site after upgrades that'll be more easily managed than via posts here or via email. Check out http://www.gamepedia.com/report , which also lists all known issues. --k_d3 07:55, 9 September 2016 (UTC)

Thanks! Xporc (talk) 12:06, 9 September 2016 (UTC)

New wave of technical problems

Hello. Am I the only one once again experiencing technical problems? Everyday the site seems to be reset in some ways, with people losing and winning back their "pro" status and, much more important, all the cache of the pages I browsed through being deleted. Xporc (talk) 08:32, 10 November 2016 (UTC)

Yo, me again. I am the only one experiencing what seems to be memory leaks in my webbrowser, and only when visiting wowpedia? It started about 48h ago and it happens on both my home computer and my work computer so it shouldn't be hardware related... Xporc (talk) 22:13, 14 February 2017 (UTC)
Alright, if anyone else has the problem, I managed to fix wowpedia being slow as heck (and only that website was problematic) by doing a reset of Firefox. Xporc (talk) 09:00, 16 February 2017 (UTC)
