(Sorry for all the questions, but I want to contribute without changing how you do things here.)

As I'm going through changed content, I've been checking these pages to see if anything needs updating. I went through the Stockade yesterday so I just checked the page for that. It seemed halfway updated to the new content. I updated the section that talked about the upcoming change and fixed the tense since it's now done. But I'm wondering if the reference is needed anymore since anyone can see that it's been changed.

I understand that keeping the history is important, but do you want to keep the Cataclysm so separate? Or, now that it's happened, change the pages so that it's current while keeping the history of the change?

I think a related question is do we need references for things anyone can see in-game?

So you could see what type of changes I would think are needed, I made an example of the changes at proposed Stockades page (in my user name space). The main differences are:

  • merged Cataclsym section into the main intro
  • removed old reference and reference section
  • removed Dextran Ward mention in notes
  • removed Defias mention in intro
  • uncommented out wool drop note, but updated

The current information is more important, but we still want the historical record. If the article needs to be completely re-made, move the original to a disambiguated page and start with fresh Cataclysm content in its place. Otherwise, you can keep the old stuff to a section, or depending on how technical it is, just replace it completely. --Pcj (TDrop me a line!C207,729 contributions and counting) 04:06, 20 December 2010 (UTC)
How about with NPCs? For instance, Kurdran Wildhammer is now a level 85 running Highbanks. Should he get a disambiguation page to distinguish between the NPC which is still in Outlands or should the NPC in Twilight Highlands be considered "the" Kurdan? Perhaps someone could point me to a good representation of an NPC which has similar, multiple existences which we could use as a model? Yithnal (talk) 03:42, 22 December 2010 (UTC)
z;Most NPCs have a single page containing all of their appearances, especially important lore characters such as Kurdran. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 20:09, 22 December 2010 (UTC)
