Hey everyone. The Legion pre-event should be over in a week and a lot of content will presumably disappear forever once it's finished, so I think we should focus as much as our efforts as possible to properly finish recording everything!

A lot of NPCs and mobs are still missing pictures. The NPCs appearing at Stormwind Harbor and the Dranosh'ar Blockade before the Battle for the Broken Shore, for example, as well as the Horde-side friendly NPCs during the Battle itself. But also the majority of the demons attacking all of Azeroth including the Shore! Not all of them have a unique look, but I think it's worth trying anyway...

Also the Dun Morogh invasion has a lot of information about the various quotes and yells made by friendly NPCs, but the other battles don't have as much information.

What do you people think? 07:34, 22 August 2016 (UTC)

I too think this should take some priority. Ofcourse these articles also require "more work" in a way. Since you have limited time for taking screenshots in all but the harbor/blockade areas. I still need a few of the invasion weapons for transmogs, but when I get the last few, I'll focus my effort on what we're still missing. PeterWind (talk) 15:27, 22 August 2016 (UTC)
Anything associated with the Broken Shore event is NOT going away permanently (though it would require you to level an alt to see it again if you've already done it). The only things that will be gone forever when the expansion launches are the Doomsayers (which are thankfully well-documented) and the Legion Invasions. So we should focus our efforts there above the Broken Shore, which can still be accessed after launch. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 17:17, 22 August 2016 (UTC)
Thanks for the information! Xporc (talk) 17:24, 22 August 2016 (UTC)
So many new pages, we'll never be able to have proper screenshots for them all ;~; Xporc (talk) 21:38, 22 August 2016 (UTC)
The invasions are going to get a lot more frequent starting tomorrow, and there's less than 100 pages without screenshots. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 21:39, 22 August 2016 (UTC)
It'll be fine! Also while we're at it. Info like hp, mana and level. I imagine we just go with the level 100 "1v1" stats? Seeing as all but a few, presumably, bugged mobs scale. PeterWind (talk) 21:52, 22 August 2016 (UTC)
Fortunately, I suspect a lot of mobs the same HP values as each other. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 23:41, 22 August 2016 (UTC)
Wow, I'm humbled by how much work was done in the last 24 hours. Excellent work, guys! Small question though - plenty of the legion invasion mobs are tagged as doomlords, but are we sure they are not doomguards instead? Exemple being the Doomguard Firebrands. Xporc (talk) 07:11, 23 August 2016 (UTC)
You're right about that one. Seeing as the Doomlord name, isn't, to my knowledge, official, I think we should only apply that to mobs using the specific doomlord model. I'll have a look through the doom lord category and sort them out. While we're at it. There is at least one case of other demons having the name Doomlord. A specific terrorguard here. Should mobs/NPCs with the doomlord title/name be included in that category aswell or instead of it's apparent race/model?
The terrorguard category is listed as a sub-category for the ered'ruin category. Should the doomlord category not also be there aswell instead of being a sub-category to the Doomguard category? PeterWind (talk) 15:11, 23 August 2016 (UTC)
"Seeing as the Doomlord name, isn't, to my knowledge, official, I think we should only apply that to mobs using the specific doomlord model". Agreed. The terroguard shouldn't be counted on the doomlord page considering doomlord comes from their model. Also, since doomlords are just bigger armored doomguards instead of a different specy like terroguards, I think having them as a sub-category of doomguards instead of ered'ruin is fine Xporc (talk) 16:43, 23 August 2016 (UTC)
By the way, please try to remember to turn off player names before taking screenshots. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 17:49, 23 August 2016 (UTC)
Yeah I admit some of my screenshots are pretty poor ... Then again, the mo'arg/doomguard/nathrezim mobs are so generic looking, I wouldn't mind if we used the same good screenshots for all the variants Xporc (talk) 19:17, 23 August 2016 (UTC)

Tremendous advances over everything Invasion-related over the week, this is awesome! So what's left to do during this last weekend besides more mobs pictures? Xporc (talk) 20:43, 25 August 2016 (UTC)

Yeah it's been great, seeing people getting so much done during the event. I think it's mostly the screenshots. Some mobs and NPCs still lack stat/level info. Other than that, there are a lot of quotes that could be added aswell. For mobs at least, they can sometimes be found on the npc pages on wowhead. If not writing those while at an event, the quotes can be added later though. PeterWind (talk) 20:57, 25 August 2016 (UTC)
Just to put this out there as general reminder, you can open up WoWChatLog.txt under the Logs folder to check for certain quotes. It does not cover NPCs who have invasion-related dialogue that's interaction only, however, so keep that in mind. -- Alayea (talk / contrib) 05:43, 29 August 2016 (UTC)
Oh neat! Didn't know about that. PeterWind (talk) 08:07, 29 August 2016 (UTC)

Last weekend, and just under 75 screenshots to go. We can do it! I recommend focusing on invasions other than Dun Morogh and Westfall, since those two seem to be what most people are getting screenshots from and from what I've seen some mobs only appear in certain zones. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 07:22, 26 August 2016 (UTC)

Can't help it, Alliance FTW! Joke aside, other zones like Azshara and the Northern Barrens seems honestly less filled with random NPCs during the invasion. Like, in Dun Morogh you have forces from the three dwarven races, while in Azshara you just have your plain old orgrimmar grunts and bilgewater soldiers. Xporc (talk) 07:33, 26 August 2016 (UTC)

Only 25 pictures left. Some mob pages are really outdated though, like mentionning so and so bosses spawning only at Kharanos when they can spawn anywhere Xporc (talk) 20:24, 26 August 2016 (UTC)

AAaaand done! No more pictures needed! Not all of them are optimal but meh, most of these mobs are both random and spawning directly into a fight so whatever. Can we focus on optimizing the exising Invasion-related pages now? Xporc (talk) 15:41, 27 August 2016 (UTC)
There, I finished doing a huuge checkup of everything Invasion-related. Everything looks pretty nice besides small details, like missing stats, some erroneous locations for a handful of mobs, some missing details like the roles of Fel Magi and Subjugators, but these are all minors. We could also probably improve it by creating a category for all Invasion-related items, since we have already categories for mobs and NPCs.
There's something making me wonder, though: so far we have several quests and NPCs tagged as "Legion Invasion", even if they are unrelated to actual invasions. Mostly these things are about the Karazhan/Ulduar/Dalaran quests that introduce Legion. Should we rather tag them as "Broken Shore"? Xporc (talk) 23:31, 27 August 2016 (UTC)
In my opinion, the Legion Invasion tag should only be applied to things that are part of the actual Legion Invasion event, or the Doomsayers that are similarly time-limited. Everything else will still be available after launch. Speaking of tags, though, I'm actually not entirely sure why we even have the Broken Shore one. It seems rather out of place since it's for a permanent event, albeit one that was launched a month before the rest of the expansion content. Does anyone know why that one was made? -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 23:44, 27 August 2016 (UTC)
Oh I made that one to mostly tag the mobs and npcs that appear in that scenario (quests) since they won't be there in the real world Broken Shores. We can always change that though. Snake.gifSssssssssssssssssssssssss Coobra sig3.gifFor Pony! (Sssss/Slithered) 00:30, 28 August 2016 (UTC)
I don't mind keeping it, honestly. Makes it a lot easier to sort things. Xporc (talk) 09:06, 28 August 2016 (UTC)

Wooh Legion is finally released! ... And now I'm afraid to actually launch the game because I'm left speechless at the amount of work it'll require to properly wikify everything. Anyone else knows this feel? Xporc (talk) 07:51, 30 August 2016 (UTC)

Hehe for sure! I think I'll probably level to 110 before I fully resume the work here though. PeterWind (talk) 12:11, 30 August 2016 (UTC)
