Summary
The Azure Span. Artwork by Jimmy Lo.
Artist's upload summary:
A concept of Azure Span with different biome transitions from forest tundra to icy mountains. It is the ancestral home of the blue dragonflight and like the rest of the isles, contains immense primal energy as evidenced by the powerful elemental ice blast which ripped apart the mountain peak. What mysteries can be found inside the ice tower...
What you see is a single image, but the work involved incorporated many people. I worked with the environment team and level design for ideas on landscape transition and gameplay space of the tower. The trees were designs from Gabe Gonzales and Gustav Schmidt, the ruined building in the midground is based off Jessica Clarke's 3d model and initial block-out of the mountain space is by level designer Colin Volrath.
