Fangs of the Queen is a boss encounter consisting of Nx and Vx in the City of Threads.

Adventure Guide

Twins Nx and Vx were born together, raised together, and trained in the ways of subterfuge and assassination together. A deadly pair, they earned their ascension together as well. Together they now serve as Fangs of the Queen, taking out any would-be threats to Ansurek's reign with relish.

Overview

Nx unleashes Shade Slashes while Vx conjures Ice Sickles from the sidelines. Upon reaching 100 energy, Nx and Vx exchange their power during Synergic Step, swapping positions. Vx then slices away with Rime Dagger and Nx steps into the shadows with Shadow Shunpo.

Damage Dealers

• Allies affected by Freezing Blood can be warmed by standing near them.
• Ice Sickles strike all players between Vx and her target.
• Shade Slash, Duskbringer, and Synergic Step inflict heavy damage to players who fail to avoid them.

Healers

• Rime Dagger and Duskbringer inflict heavy damage to all players.
• Ice Sickles strike all players between Vx and her target.
• Shade Slash, Duskbringer, and Synergic Step inflict heavy damage to players who fail to avoid them.

Tanks

• When Nx uses Shade Slash, his Echoing Shades repeat previous casts in the same location.
• The target of Vx's Freezing Blood can end up Frozen Solid if they don't have allies nearby.
• Ice Sickles strike all players between Vx and her target.

•  Twin Fangs — The Fangs of the Queen harness a synergistic power, causing them to share 100% of all damage taken.
•  Synergic Step  — Upon reaching 100 energy, Nx and Vx repeatedly dash across the arena inflicting 229981-658719 Physical damage to players in their path. They then swap between attacking and supporting roles.

Stage One: Nx, the Shrouded Fang

  • •  Shade Slash  — Nx slashes in the direction of their current target, inflicting 574953-1646799 Physical and 574953-1646799 Shadow damage to players in a cone in front of them and leaving behind an Echoing Shade.
      •  Echoing Shade — Nx's shadows echo his Shade Slash in the direction they're currently facing.
    • In Mythic difficulty, Echoing Shades wander around the space.
    •  Duskbringer — Nx calls upon the darkness inflicting 57495-164680 Shadow damage to all players every 0.5 sec for 3.5 Sec, then unleashes its power to inflict 862430-2470198 Shadow damage to players within 15 yards of Nx and his Echoing Shades.

  • •  Ice Sickles — Vx aims frosted daggers at several players, inflicting 172486-494040 Frost damage to all targets within the dagger's line of travel. The dagger remains embedded in the target, reducing movement speed by 30% and inflicts an additional 86243-247020 Frost damage every 1 sec for 12 Sec.
  • In Mythic difficulty, Ice Sickles targets all players.
    •  Knife Throw — The caster throws a knife at a player, inflicting 344972-988079 Physical damage and an additional 86243-247020 Physical damage every 1 sec for 3 Sec.

Stage Two: Vx, the Frosted Fang

  • •  Rime Dagger  — Vx imbues her daggers with ice and plunges them into her current target, inflicting 862430-2470198 Physical damage and afflicting 10 applications of Freezing Blood. The daggers then burst inflicting 287477-823399 Frost damage to all players.
      •  Freezing Blood  — The target's blood begins to freeze solid, inflicting 172486-494040 Frost damage every 1 sec. This effect stacks. Standing near another player removes 1 application of this effect per player every 1 sec.
