The Eroded Fossil can be found in the Apex Canopy of the Waking Shores when the world quest, 
[60-70WQ] Brightblade's Bones, is available.
This fossil along with the 
[Petrified Dragon Egg] is needed for the 
[Bugbiter Tortoise] pet.
