Empowered Zombies are created when Thalnos the Soulrender summons an Empowering Spirit that, if not killed quickly enough, takes possession of a Fallen Crusader. Empowered Zombies have such a large health pool that they cannot feasibly be killed during the encounter with Thalnos. The objective is thus to keep them crowd-controlled, or failing that, beating on the tank.
