- Brian Kibler has stated[2] that Elendril was his WoW character, which he adapted into a hero card while lead designer on the WoW TCG.

- Elendril is pictured with a white nightsaber on his card, and appears again on the ally card for a hunter pet named Fury, who is a white nightsaber. This suggests that Fury is Elendril's companion. This is reinforced since the art for both cards was done by Todd McFarlane.
- On Fury's card, Elendril appears to be wearing Giantstalker Armor, which implies he ventured into Molten Core. However, that is not the armor he is wearing in his own art.
