Patch changes
- Patch 11.0.2 (2024-08-13):
- Damage increased by 25%.
- Damage is no longer reduced by 8% in PvP combat.
- Hotfix (2023-08-07): Damage increased by 8%. Does not apply to PvP.
- Patch 10.1.0 (2023-05-02): Tooltip now correctly updates when [Burning Crusade] is talented.
- Hotfix (2022-12-14): Fixed an issue that caused Divine Storm to consume both [Fires of Justice] and [Empyrean Power] from a single cast.
- Patch 10.0.0 (2022-10-25): Now a row 2 Retribution talent (was a level 23 Retribution ability).
- Hotfix (2022-04-04): Damage increased by 10%. This change does not apply to PvP combat.
- Hotfix (2021-11-03): Fixed an issue with Divine Storm not hitting all nearby enemies if your primary target is affected with [Judgment].
- Patch 9.1.5 (2021-11-02): No longer maximum target capped and instead deals reduced damage beyond 5 targets.

- Patch 5.0.4 (2012-08-28):
- Now a level 34 Retribution ability (was a tier 3 Retribution talent).
- Now cost 3 Holy Power instead of mana. Cooldown removed. Weapon damage increased from 100% to 135%. No longer heals or generates Holy Power.
- Patch 4.1.0 (2011-04-26): Now generates 1 point of Holy Power if it hits (i.e. successfully lands on) 4 or more targets.
- Patch 4.0.3a (2010-11-23): Redesigned. It no longer consumes Holy Power and instead costs 5% of base mana. It shares a cooldown with Crusader Strike and hits all nearby enemies for 60% weapon damage.
- Old: An instant attack that causes weapon damage to all enemies within 8 yards. The Divine Storm heals up to 3 party or raid members totaling 25% of the damage caused. Consumes all Holy Power to increase damage dealt.
