  • Crusader
  • Requires Enchanting
  • Reagents:
  • Permanently enchant a melee weapon to often heal for 240 and increase Strength by 40 for 15 sec when attacking in melee. Has a reduced effect for players above level 30. Cannot be applied to items higher than level 50.

Permanently enchant a melee weapon so that often when attacking in melee it heals for 75 to 125 and increases strength by 100 for 15 seconds. Both healing and strength bonuses have great value for tanks and rogues in PvE, so this enchant is in constant demand from these classes.

At level 70, Crusader gives +60 Strength and heals for 45-75 health.

Notes

The animation for Crusader's proc spell, "Holy Strength".

This is a high level enchant for all weapons, and it is mainly used by Rogues, Warriors , Shamans and Paladins. A weapon (usually Swords, Maces, Axes, Daggers or Polearms) that has been enchanted with Crusader glows a strong white glow. Also has been found to have 1ppm (procs per minute).

% to Proc = Weapon Speed * 1.667

The actual effect of Crusader is the buff "Holy Strength". If Crusader is enchanted on two weapons being dual-wielded, Holy Strength can proc twice. Dualcrusader.gif

At low levels (e.g. level 9) Crusader procs very rarely. Its not known at what level the standard proc rate takes effect.

This is generally the ideal enchant for melee heirloom weapons, since Burning Crusade and Lich King enchants cannot be used on them.
