The Crimson Expanse in Hearthstone.
The Crimson Expanse[73, 40] is a location in the upper shelf of Deepholm. It lies north of Upper Silvermarsh, southeast of Twilight Precipice and south of Verlok Village. Its name derives from all the red giant mushrooms that grow there, including the purple rocks which have been colored by the fungi. Apparently, it is the stone troggs who are growing them as a sort of weapon against the other earth elementals in Deepholm.[1][2][3][4] Somehow the mushrooms are able to transform the elementals into creatures identical to fungal giants.[5]
Gorsik the Tumultuous is found along the south side of the expanse.
Trivia
- The Crimson Expanse is a common location card in the Hearthstone mini-set Delve into Deepholm. Its flavor text reads: "Idk. Looks pink to me."
