The Crescent Key was held by the Shen'dralar elves until Pusillin stole it.

The key is obtained from the imp Pusillin after a chase through the Warpwood Quarter of Dire Maul. The chase sequence is activated by speaking to the imp, found directly inside the main entrance.

- Prior to Cataclysm, this key was also required to open doors into and inside the Capital Gardens and Gordok Commons wings of Dire Maul.
- Prior to patch 4.2.0, it could be added to the Keyring.
Patch changes
Patch 4.0.3a (2010-11-23): No longer required to open the doors of Dire Maul. 
Patch 1.3.0 (2005-03-07): Added.
