- Technically, this ability has a rank 3 for Protection but no rank 2.
- Consecration is a basic Paladin spell in Hearthstone. The flavor text reads: "Consecrated ground glows with Holy energy. But it smells a little, too."

Major talent-tree revamps have eliminated many of the talents that formerly improved Consecration's performance. Many of the items that used to affect Consecration no longer have those attributes.

- Consecration and other similar spells can no longer be used by non-PvP flagged players to damage PvP flagged enemies.
