Cocyrus [43, 45] is the eastern portion of the mainland of the Maw, home to the Waystone to Oribos and Ve'nari's Refuge. The area is bordered clockwise from the north by Ve'nari's Refuge, bridges to the Beastwarrens and Perdition Hold (via the Face of Oblivion) to the southeast and south, and Zovaal's Cauldron to the west and north.
Trivia
- Cocyrus' name is similar to Cocytus, one of the rivers of the underworld in Greek mythology. In Dante's Inferno, Cocytus is the name of the ninth and lowest circle of Hell, where traitors are eternally trapped in a frozen lake and where Satan himself is located.
