Cleanse is a level 10 Holy paladin ability. One of the more versatile debuff removal abilities, Cleanse removes all magic effects from the target. With the [Improved Cleanse] talent, it will also remove poisons and diseases.

Patch changes

Patch 10.0.0 (2022-10-25):
- Now only removes Magic effects. The [Improved Cleanse] talent will additionally remove poison and disease effects.
- Now learned at level 10 (was 12).
Patch 9.0.1 (2020-10-13): Now learned at level 12 (was 21).
Patch 7.0.3 (2016-07-19): Now also removes all Magic effects, but is only available to Holy; Protection and Retribution get [Cleanse Toxins] instead. Now learned at level 21 (was 20).
Patch 6.0.2 (2014-10-14): Now learned at level 20 (was 34).
Patch 5.0.4 (2012-08-28): Now removes all Poison and Disease effects. 8-second cooldown added.
