Claw was the Woodpaw gnoll brute. He was a close friend to Gnaw.

When the hyena suddenly left the Woodpaw lands, he didn't care and agreed with Matriarch Greasefang to be a good thing. He also agreed with her when she said that the cut trees were a result of the Feral Scar yetis. In order to convince the gnolls that the trees were cut instead of being pushed, Gnaw showed Claw trees. Gnaw told him that Hackle is right about Greasefang being wrong, but Claw initially cuffed Gnaw, and believed Greasefang right. Despite this, Claw did take Greasefang to show her the cut trees, but the two never returned to their clan as they were killed. Jaggal blamed the yetis for their deaths. They were succeeded by Gnaw and Jawstretcher.

• Hackle pointed out that the yetis were gone, so his killers could be the Gordunni ogres.
