Character Boost gear list

From Warcraft Wiki
Jump to navigation Jump to search

When a character is boosted, all gear slots are emptied and filled with new specialization-appropriate ilevel uncommon-quality gear. The previous gear is mailed to the character. The gear lists for the various levels of boost are the same, with the only difference being item levels (and thus differently scaled stats). Note that using this system to boost a character means that heritage armor cannot be unlocked.

Trivia

  • Items with this appearance can also be obtained via the Garrison Salvage Yard, or by creating an allied race character of the appropriate class, which will be equipped with the full set of armor after character creation. The name of the allied race armor may differ, but the appearance is identical.
  • During Warlords of Draenor, these sets were shown when choosing a race and class for a new character, although customization would show their actual starting gear. Some time before 2023 this was changed to no longer be the case, and character creation previews use a variety of armor from Tier 17 (Mage) to Tier 21 (Priest), that does not change after class is confirmed and starting gear is never shown.
