Strategy

Cera is summoned from a Primal Ritual Stone, either in the Ihgaluk Crag secret cave, or underneath the northernmost building in the Court of Bones.

The direhorn will frequently root itself in place and cast Double-Edge Thrash, which does damage in a 45-degree 40-yard radius frontal arc and a rear arc, much like a dragon's frontal breath attack and tail swipe. Simply stand to either side of it when it starts casting. It will also Charge at enemies out of melee range, so try to stay close to either side. It will finally cast Reflective Armor Plating, which will deflect all attacks from the front.

As long as only the tank stays in front of the boss, and the rest of the group is hugging Cera's sides, the only damge will be from Cera's melee swings. The tank can dodge out of the thrash by side-stepping over to the group's position, then moving back to the original position so Cera won't turn to face the group.

  • Cera appears to be a homage to the orange-skinned female Triceratops of the same name from The Land Before Time cartoon.
