The plural of doomguard is "doomguard" not "doomguards" if I rememeber. Rolandius Paladin.gif (talk - contr) 06:44, 1 May 2009 (UTC)

Indeed! --Mordecay (talk) 21:56, 29 June 2018 (UTC)

Move

Old (WotA trilogy) and new (Chronicle 1) literature have "Doomguard" for plural. Anyone oppose the move? --Mordecay (talk) 23:32, 29 November 2018 (UTC)

I'm for the move. Well, I'm not so sure because they are both pretty much used. — SurafbrovWarcraft Wiki administrator T / C 23:44, 29 November 2018 (UTC)
@Mordecay, could you please provide a page number for WotA and Chronicle 1 regarding "Doomguard" being used as a plural. — SurafbrovWarcraft Wiki administrator T / C 03:14, 30 November 2018 (UTC)
So there's source material that has "doomguard" as plural. Is there source having "doomguards" as plural? Do both show up? Which is more prevalent? PeterWind (talk) 10:21, 30 November 2018 (UTC)
"Doomguards" is used in Demonic Servitude and RPG books like Manual of Monsters. In the canon books I mentioned, only "Doomguard" for plural is used, The Well of Eternity chapter 19, The Sundering chapter 5, and Chronicle's kindle position 911, 1783 & 2044. Same with Illidan, chapter 1: "Flanking him were two gigantic, batwinged doomguard, each almost as tall as their master, and a force of lesser demons." Basically there are no results of "doomguards" in those three works.
Same case is with the centaur, their plural is mostly centaur, sometimes centaurs but the category is without s.
I just noticed that this is the case of other types of demons as well, I'll check sources for them later. --Mordecay (talk) 11:53, 30 November 2018 (UTC)
While I personally prefer "doomguards" I'll say that this is good enough for me. I'm fine with a move. PeterWind (talk) 12:36, 30 November 2018 (UTC)
Yeah the plural is "doomguard". Similar to "felguard". -- MyMindWontQuiet 13:31, 30 November 2018 (UTC)
